The Workshop

The Jeffers workshop in Bandon is the largest and best equipped piano repair facility in Ireland. Here we undertake everything from minor repairs and restringing to complete rebuilds and restorations. No job is too big or too small for our team of highly-skilled technicians.

The average piano has about 5,000 moving parts, made from a variety of materials - wood, brass, steel, copper, felt, plastic - and great skill is required to make sure that each element of the piano performs its required function.

With decades of experience, the Jeffers team includes experts in piano actions, stringing, casework and polishing. In the case of large and complex restorations, it is not unusual for a piano to pass through three or four pairs of skilled hands on its path through the workshop.
