Jeffers' stock of pianos for hire ranges from our magnificent 9ft Steinway Model D Concert Grands to compact grands and uprights to fit even the smallest spaces. We provide pianos to leading concert halls, venues and recording studios right across Ireland, carried by our fleet of vans, and installed, tuned and regulated by our expert movers and tuners. Rent a piano for a few days, a few weeks, or even a few hours. Our short term rental service is available at short notice. Just tell us where you want it and we'll put it wherever we can - we have even installed pianos on-board ships.

Tuning

Piano strings are under significant tension - up to 200 lbs for each string. Over time this tension stretches them, lowering the pitch, and gradually pulling your piano out of tune. Atmospheric variations, including humidity and temperature levels along with the nature of the piano's construction, and of course, how often its played, will affect the pitch and tuning of your piano.Even a piano that is played very occasionally needs a regular tuning to keep it in good order - at least once a year. For pianos that are played regularly, twice a year should be enough to keep it in tune and on pitch.

Repair

The Jeffers workshop in Bandon is the largest workshop facility in Ireland. Here we undertake everything from minor repairs and restringing to complete rebuilds and restorations. No job is too big or too small for our team of highly-skilled technicians.

Moving a piano isn't easy - it takes brawn, but it also takes brains. And its not a job to undertake without the correct equipment and expertise - not if you want the piano to survive the experience! Our in-house movers are all experienced in the transport and care of your instrument. We move hundreds of pianos every year from small uprights to full size concert grands around Ireland and beyond.
